How We are Different:
We don’t refer you to your family doctor for labs we manage, as they are not permitted to run many of the tests we use in our approach, because they don't look at the body the same way and they have a fiscal responsibility to uphold with government funds, which restricts them further.
You are welcome to upload recent blood lab results for your naturopathic doctor to review, and then do the remaining tests with us. We can provide private pay blood lab testing and work with a nurse practitioner to provide government covered blood lab requisitions and prescriptions when needed.
We also ask for functional lab testing (urine, breath, stool, saliva, blood) for chronic illness cases, hormone therapy and some digestion, mental health and migraine cases.
We’ve helped hundreds of patients with a personalized health strategy.
Our approach is different from traditional healthcare. We take a comprehensive approach to assessing your body, from a holisitic and functional lens and focus on setting you up for a health transformation in the first 9-24 months, with a clear, structured plan.
We start with an initial 60min consult where you'll get started on treatment and may be asked for other data to be gathered to support your case (lab testing, questionnaires, symptom monitoring), followed by a standard follow-up consult 4-6 weeks later. Ongoing consults occur every 2-3 months, until you're recovered and then every 6 months for maintenance while on a prescription or every 1-2 years for a repeat assessment.
We use nutrition, supplements, medication and lifestyle change to create a synergistic effect, over a period of time, to see specific symptoms change. We do not offer IV-therapy at our clinic.
Our Naturopathic Approach is for you if:

You're between the ages of 18-65

You know your health is your responsibility

You're interested in assessing your nutrition literacy and making food changes if needed

You're open to taking supplements for a specific period of time, to evaluate the impact on your health, through monitoring symptoms and objective measurements

Who We Are
I’m a naturopathic doctor with a focus on digestive and hormone health. I keep my training up annually, by different experts in various fields in medicine and through my registered naturopathic license requirements. I want to bring this expertise to you.
I see the struggle (and went through it personally) in women in my practice daily, who feel disappointed, lost, and alone trying to navigate their body changes.
There is a path forward - and it includes education.
I’ve helped hundreds of patients become symptom free and thrive in their lives because they have their health.
I’ve been supporting people learn how their body works and improve their health since 2012, and am honoured to do so. My goal is that you can learn, look and feel your best.
I look forward to working with you,
Dr. Kaylee Alton, ND
